The oil and natural gas industry is broad and complicated, so IPAA has partnered with Energy Training Resources, LLC and developed an information-packed Oil and Gas Overview Course that connects the functional and commercial aspects of the industry. The course has an upstream focus with some midstream information and will thoroughly cover the following topics: Industry structure, petroleum geology and exploration, mineral rights and leasing, drilling and completion and development and production operations.

The course is open to both IPAA member and non-members and you do not need to be registered for NAPE to attend. It is recommended for oil and gas company employees, suppliers, contractors, attorneys, accountants, bankers, investors, traders, insurers, regulators, risk management professionals, landmen, etc. and qualifies for the following continuing professional development credits: 7 GARP (CPD), 8 NASBA (CPE), and 7.5 AAPL recertification credits (RL, RPL, CPL, and CPL Specialist).
