Wildcatter’s Ball

In February, hundreds gathered for the 23rd annual Wildcatters’ Ball. Over the past two decades, attendees’ participation has raised more than $10 million for the IPAA Educational Foundation. Pop art and culture created the high energy and colorful ambiance for the evening. The event’s silent auction was hosted by IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy students from Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy and offered collectible memorabilia, wine, destination experiences and more. Halliburton’s Galen Cobb, co-chairman of IPAA’s Education Advisory Board, introduced Madison Jackson, who spoke about her experience in the Petroleum Academy. While in the program, Madison completed a high school externship at Newfield Exploration. She then went on to earn her degree in Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M and now is drill site manager in the Permian for Chevron.
