The IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academy at Southwest High School participated in its annual public speaking competition in January. The public speaking topics were all related to global concerns throughout the petroleum industry. The competition was fierce, with guest judges from the petroleum industry deciding the winners. Southwest High School academy students were honored and privileged to have the opportunity to speak and be judged by the professionals in their field of study. Judges from the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of American Association of Drilling Engineers were:
