PetroChallenge

PetroChallenge is a hands-on, educational competition that utilizes technology to teach our academy students about the upstream process. The online simulation challenges the students to prospect, bid for licenses, negotiate with other teams and select providers in order to drill on their lease. Students from all five IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academies competed this year at the Houston Community College, southwest campus, on a new and improved version of the simulation. This competition would not have been possible without the generous sponsorship from Occidental Petroleum, Schlumberger and NExT, a Schlumberger company.
