IPAA Announces Addition to its Communications Team

Washington, D.C. – The Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) today announced the addition of Neal Kirby as the newest member of the IPAA communications team.  Neal joins IPAA as the manager of public affairs and communications.

Prior to joining the association, Neal served as press secretary for Congressman Doc Hastings of Washington.  Previously, Neal worked as the online communications manager for the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources, where he managed the Committee’s digital communications and online branding efforts.

At IPAA, Neal will be primarily responsible for media relations and social media communications. IPAA Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications Jeff Eshelman said, “With record growth over the past few years, the American oil and natural gas industry continues to face new legislative, regulatory and public affairs challenges. Neal will help us address these issues through his knowledge of our industry and his communication outreach skills.”

Neal is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi and a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.
