2010 Teacher of the Year

“Thank you for the great honor of being awarded IPAA Teacher of the Year, sponsored annually by the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association. I am quite overwhelmed by this recognition, but very proud to be the lead teacher facilitating the hard work that all of the teachers at Westside Engineering & Geosciences Academy carry out each year. What truly makes my job worthwhile is how much I love working with my students. It means so much to me to be involved in this unique partnership with IPAA which enhances education and our kids’ futures. I hope and believe that we are guiding the future engineers, geologists, and businessmen who will lead our country and the world. Thank you again for your generosity.”

2009 Teacher of the Year

I feel truly honored to be the first recipient of the PESA Teacher of the Year award.  I had an incredible time at the  IPAA Annual Meeting in New Orleans and thoroughly enjoyed meeting such an impressive group of professionals.  What a fabulous time!
I want to thank PESA and the Academy Executive Board for supporting public education and giving these students the opportunity to learn about all of the incredible opportunities within the energy industry.  I look forward to contributing to this dynamic  program for years to come
