Teacher Training:
Society of Petroleum Engineers; TCU Energy Institute; University of Texas “Fundamentals of Petroleum”; Rice University; Colorado School of Mines; University of Houston Global Energy Management Institute; The NEED Project;
In order to prepare academy teachers to facilitate this advanced placement curriculum, each year new teachers attend the Offshore Energy Center's, Project E3: Expanding Energy Education and the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE) Knowledge Box training, where they earn their Certification to Teach Energy Education.
Young Professionals Guest Speaker Career Series
Our goal within each academy is to provide students the ability to make more informed career choices in the areas of math, science and the emerging technology concepts available in our industry. Every other week young professionals from our industry volunteer to share the vast career opportunities that are available within our industry.
Junior Acheivement Leadership Training
Junior Achievement provides effective leadership training for our young professionals to teach in the classroom. Topics include Sean Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” business ethics, business management plus daily opportunities to practice effective teamwork in the classroom.
