1. Capital Markets
Promotes and facilitates the capital formation process for independents through
education and outreach. Chairman - Tim Murray

2. Communications
Disseminates information and explains the association's policies, goals, and
activities, and the independent oil and natural gas producers' concerns and interests,
primarily to the news media, the public, government, industry, and other interested
and affected organizations.

3. Crude Oil Policy
Analyzes legislative and regulatory developments affecting current and future
business activity of crude oil producers. Works to stabilize and expand domestic
oil production, prevent the premature loss of marginal wells, highlight the risk
of America's import dependence and recommend Association policy regarding such
activities.

4. Environment and Safety
Studies and reports on safety, health and environmental problems and the activities
of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Environmental Protection
Agency and recommends Association policy related to such activities.

5. International
Provides educational and informational services to independents engaged in
or interested in international business opportunities. Committee will serve as
a network to obtain insight on issues and a conduit for countries and agencies
to contact independents about international opportunities.

6. Land & Royalty
Studies and reports on legislative, regulatory, and litigation developments
affecting exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas on public lands
and recommends Association policy related to such activities.

7. Law Committee
Provides a forum for oil and gas practitioners to come together and discuss
issues of common interest and concern. When called upon, the Law Committee will
also advise the Board and Committees of IPAA on pending legal issues and litigation.

8. Membership and Business Development
A network intended to link IPAA members to news and opportunities through the
IPAA website and meetings and events.

marketing; recommends Association policies and actions related to such activities.

production on the Outer Continental Shelf and recommends Association policy related

Analyzes and reports on anticipated demand for petroleum and natural gas and
the supply required to meet this demand.

14. Workforce and Public Education
Analyzes historic and developing labor trends in the oil and natural gas industry with the purpose of outreach and education of target audiences about prospective career opportunities.
Develops initiatives to encourage professional and vocational education to expand the industry workforce.
The committee also serves as a clearinghouse for state and national energy education and advocacy programs.
